Joy in the City – Tile Making Workshop: This Saturday!

We are happy to report that this Saturday begins the process to create the Joy in the City Mosaic which we have been planning for two years. In partnership with CREATIONS IN CLAY, neighbors from Hunting Park will come together at the OKA House to create 6″ x 6″ tiles that will be installed as a part of a large mosaic mural to be completed on 6th Street at Spirit & Truth Fellowship Church’s Joy in the City Building. Our two tile making workshops (Saturdays, June 19th and 26th from 11-2pm) will produce 50 tiles that will contribute to the design detailing what brings JOY to our lives. The neighbors on 6th Street across from the mural will be playing a prominent role in the tile making process as they are excited to leave a legacy on their own block.
